How the garden works

Win with the fourth different shape. Complete a row, a column, or one outlined 2×2 quarter with an orb, cube, cone and arch. Either colour counts. The person placing the last shape wins. Diagonals do not count.

Each player has two of every shape. You may repeat your own shapes along a line, but may never place a shape in a row, column or quarter containing the opponent’s same shape. If you have no legal move, you lose.

Choose a shape on your shelf and then an illuminated square. Keyboard: 1–4 choose shape; arrow keys move around the garden; Enter or Space plants. Tab visits controls. H offers a suggestion; U undoes a full turn. Suggestions use a bounded local search and are not guaranteed optimal.

Practice openings are small learning positions; each starts on amber’s turn. New game replaces this device’s current saved table. Progress saves automatically on this device when storage is available.
